Price lists for the facilities, accommodation, activities and services that you can book for your stay at Moreton Bay Research Station.
Prices are subject to change without notice due to price changes from external suppliers.
Quotes may be provided with a "contingency" fee. This may be adjusted at the request of the budget owner, but otherwise effectively operates as a line of pre-paid credit under a single Purchase Order for ease of invoice reconciliation. Any charges incurred in excess of agreed Purchase Order amount will result in a separate Invoice being raised requiring immediate payment (i.e. credit card or like).
Station-owned non-listed items (e.g. access to sensory buoy network, quadrats, snorkel equipment, diving equipment, ground-penetrating radar, etc) are available Free of Charge but only where paying (appropriately) Boating Fees or Bench Fees. Please contact the station to discuss further requirements for access (e.g. training, submission of a UQ-approved dive plan, etc) and availability.
Some consumables are included in Bench Fees, appropriate to the nature and duration of the planned activities. This must be discussed and agreed with the Station ahead of arrival. Bulk standard consumables, or any specialty consumables (e.g. hazardous substances), will be quoted at UQ cost plus freight and may incur an administration fee. Freight as a service is also available for coordination through the Station, charged at UQ cost and may incur an administration fee.

Shared rooms and amenities should be presumed unless otherwise advised by Station staff. Subject to availability, all efforts will be made to offer separation of groups, genders, and supervisory structures (e.g. teachers/students) unless otherwise requested. Private room(s) may be requested at time of booking, however, surcharges may apply.

Bench fees include access to research laboratories, teaching laboratories, aquaria, and/or seminar rooms as appropriate for the nature and duration of the activities. Bench fees include access to diving and snorkelling equipment (but not tank refills) where an appropriate dive/snorkel plan exists. Access to these resources is subject to availability. Final allocation of resources is at the discretion of the Station Manager. All efforts will be made to offer exclusive use of equipment and facilities where possible.

UQ staff and students can apply for subsidies for accommodation and bench fees across a range of research, teaching, training, workshop and collaborative activities through the Marine Stations New Initiative Scheme (NIS).
